I want to keep MBP running while lid's close

Is it possible for the MacBook Pro to not sleep when I close the lid? I often need the computer running while I sleep like when I'm downloading or rendering something. I can't find an option on System Preference for this.

there's a program, insomniax, that will do this for you.

apple really needs to include some sort of "jukebox" mode for macbooks - closed lid and music will play, then shuts off when playlist is finished
