I want to switch from PC to mac but these reviews are making me think twice.

Put it this way-I've switched to Mac. Had about 1 problem with Boot Camp, which needs a format BUT its beta software-its not perfect (yet). I never used Windows anyway.

All I can say is that it hasn't worked for my MBP or my Macbooks anywhere as well as it works in Windows.

Have you taken it into an Apple Store or called AppleCare?

Just curious to see what they said. It seems to me that if it is happening with all your computers, then maybe it something you did.<--That sounds bad, I don't mean to be rude, but I think you get what I am saying.

I've long thought that comparing a Mac to a PC is rather like comparing a Gibson Les Paul to...sheesh, any number of other guitars. A Les Paul is expensive, and it will never sound like a Fender, and there's a ton of other instruments that will give you that humbucker sound Gibsons are known for. But none of them (IMHO) will ever be quite so nice to play as the Gibson. There's things it can't do, to be sure, but nothing else does what it can do so well.

I agree. with the fact on musical terms I started off with an Gibson SG Stand. After a few years, I thought i'd get myself a Les Paul, got one... and yeah, it was beefier, but it had a complete different feel. So I sold it and got another SG.

The SG in my opinion is the only other guitar to have the balls to stand up to the Les Paul. It doesnt have a deep voice, but it sure does pack a punch.

I could occupy a whole page with my calls to Applecare for my iMacs, Macbooks and also about the problems that afflicted the MBP. The MBP's been in once when I finally tired of nursing the wheezing beast and transferred everything over to my Windows laptops (bar my emails, which is a major annoyance) to get it Applecared. They cured the warping (never had a laptop warp on my in probably about 15 years) and a couple of other issues but didn't address many others.
