Only certain unibody models. Those drives are all 12mm high. I am looking for a 9.5 mm high drive, the traditional size for a notebook drive
WD Scorpio Blue 500 GB
I upgraded my MBP 13" with the scorpio blue and its very good. It is not louder than the stock 160 GB but it produces a bit more heat causing the fans to spin faster. The programs open faster and i love the capacity.If you choose to install this drive you should take into consideration the below point:
- When you install the drive please dont clone it but fresh install snow leopard or just restore from a time machine. Cloning the drive will cause slouchiness. If you can not do the above and cloning is your only option then i would suggest to run disk utility -> verify and repair disk after you clone it.
