...does Apple buy old computers, (bought in august 2004), toward the purchase of a new one? i have a 12" Powerbook G4 and i want the Intel version of the 12" G4 replacement (whenever it gets here.) my G4 is getting slower by the day. also, the built in iSight camera and Front row software really interests me.

They do. But only for businesses and even then it's not really worth it for what they pay.

It would be nice if Apple did have a buy back program- I would trade my iBook G4 and some $$$ for a new MacBook/MacBook Pro. 🙂
