back in february I posted, "I talked to an employee regional manager at apple, a manager at best buy and another manager that controls the macbook area in frys, and they all state that the new MBP's will make their debut in april.
Sorry to burst you bubbles.
Thats over 2 months away."

and all you guys said to me I was full of rubbish.
Just wanted to let you all know that I was RIGHT and I had sources!

Anyways, the new macbooks are a complete joke.

Seriously?

Look, I got a bullseye and my eyes were closed:

lol gj, but you got lucky. and im not the kinda person to just degrade everyone who doesn't have concrete sources. i actually believed most of them, but i know that they were mainly just fake or very unreliable.

You also said this:
Yes! The new Macbook Pro's will definitely be shipping with USB 3.0 on them.
Many devices already use usb 3.0. Mostly cameras and a few external hard drives. and many higher end pc's are also shipping with usb 3.0.
Heck, it would be just in time for the Iphone 4g, which will have USB 3.0 capabilities.

I guess you can't be RIGHT about everything.

Actually I called this in January. And i had no sources, merely relying on good business sense.

Solid point. Between now and the "60 day shipping date", Apple will want to pre-sell the heck out of the iPad. While I would not rule out a silent release between now and that time frame, it certainly would be in Apple's best interest to wait until after the device ships. If you listened to the event today, Apple truly believes that they are positioning this device as a new option - or competition in some ways - to a laptop. They'll want to show dazzling numbers to support this so the media outlets will report hundreds of thousands of these things being pre-ordered. Even though the MBP refresh is not intended to detract from this audience, it could certainly dilute the interest in the MBP refresh. My bet is sometime in early April.

April? You really think Apple is going to wait until April to update the MBP line? They would be the worst business decision ever made by Apple. Think of how much market share and business they would lose. If they don't update by end of February then they are in big trouble. Even the general public would start to notice that everyone else has the Arrandale chips but Apple is still selling premium priced laptops with Core 2 Duos. That is just plain idiotic.

Sorry for resurrecting a dead end thread, but I recalled this awesome back and forth about the "demise" of Apple if they didn't release a MBP update. In fact, "Apple being in big trouble" and the general public revolting and buring C2D processors in protests. Also plagues and locusts and flooding if no MBP update by April....

I guess Apple only has ~ 3 hours to save the world from total chaos!!!

You and the many others who predicted the update of the macbook pros in April can share this cookie.

yay cookies. and yes the update was complete trash. Do you know how hard it is to change a processor? Its pretty easy and not to mention ram. I bet I could change the processor myself!!!! Unless the logic board is different, which it probably isn't. The GPUs are also a joke, not much better from the 9400s

You seriously have no idea what you're talking about.
