Hello all

I wonder if any of you could help me with an issue I'm having with my I watch series 1 .
I replaced the battery as it was not holding charge very long at all .
In fact it's acting the same as the battery I replaced ?!

Is it the battery or something to do with the IOS ?

Regards

I replaced the battery , and basically it's acting the same way the old one did .
It goes from 100% charged to zero in like 8 hours ...

Could be a hardware issue but I do not know how much you use your watch or what is running on it.
Minimal usage , basically used as a watch .
Background app refresh is off.
But given that it's a new battery shouldn't it work better than that !
I wondered if it was an apple issue , as in is there some preprogrammed stuff going on which transfers
The old battery memory to the new one

The non-OEM battery you used to replace may be no better than your original.

No the two batteries are not talking to each other.

It could be a hardware problem but I am betting on bad battery.

I didn't think the two batteries were talking lol I meant is it perhaps in the IOS .
, I bought it from a highly recommended German company , it wasn't t a cheap crappy
One from eBay .
Perhaps I will try another, could you recommend a supplier ?

How did the battery replacement go?
I bought a cheap battery from china. It charges to 100% from 50% in about 35 minutes.
I power off the watch off by holding the switch/button below the crown for 10 seconds. Only issue is, the series 1 takes a few minutes to boot but benefit is an extension of battery use time. I also have found that keeping the watch on charge, over the long term, may result in the swollen battery issue. That is what I blame, given no indication as to a defined cause from the watch manufacturer.
There may be an issue with the watch's OS which may be fixed by a reset and an unpair/repair; advice I found on the net.
