I wish Apple Maps had a "search by category" option

Say I'm on the road and want to stop at the nearest _______ (grocery store for example). I wish I could filter all nearest grocery stores on the maps app rather than have to type out all of them by name to see which is closest to me.... Also just typing "grocery store" comes back with obscure results. Maybe something like this will be in ios 8?

Not likely - iOS 8 is already in alpha stages of testing at Apple, I doubt they'll implement that so soon. Maybe as Maps improves Y.O.Y then they'll implement it?

Have you tried Foursquare? I think it's a good alternative for what you want :)

Yelp! is OK when the information is correct (like a lot of applications, of course.)

Over here in the UK there are a lot of businesses that have been closed for the best part of five years, if not more, and yet they are still listed as trading, even when I've submitted reports to get them removed.
