Wel... My parents were tired of waiting for a decision so they just gave me the $2000 that I would have used for the computer. Now i need to decide... I'm starting to rethink about the G4 iMac... Any ideas for a BTO maybe?

With a tag such as "iHatePCs" this comment may be brushed asside, however for that kind of outlay you can get one mean Athlon 64 machine. Hell you can get a mean mean A64 machine for $2000AUD, let alone $USD

I think it's wonderful you made the honor roll... you've earned it, from the sound of it.

But you should really learn how to use/invest/spend money before asking us what you should spend it on.

All you have so far is... a lot of money and a need for VPC?

His parents aren't necessarily bad. Maybe they just live a different lifestyle from all us normies.

A lifestyle where you get $2,000 for making honor roll as compared to getting a pat on the back for a 4.0.

Hey, You can buy mine

Alright, I know this isn't quite the same as a new/refurb product, but I'm looking at possible selling my G4 iMac sometime this spring or summer before I leave for college. The specs on it are 15" 512 Ram 800Mhz Superdrive. Any questions or if anyone is interested, get in touch with me at owenimholte@mac.com. I am a verified eBay seller with positive feedback. I'd recommend avoiding that system since we can both save a little money. Since I know that the mac would be going into good hands I would negotiate a good price. Also, it has applecare through mid/late July 05 so it is guaranteed to be working, by myself and by Apple. Applecare protection is transferable.

Guess that covers it, any questions, I would love to hear from you!
