i5/7 performance boost over C2D???

Can anyone tell me, point me to a link/chart that describes the performance boost the i5/7 chips get over a c2d chip? I've heard both: some say it's significant, some say not so much. Which is it!!??

Up to 30% clock for clock. It's insignificant if you don't need the speed but for those who needs it, it's significant
