I6 mail question

I have a 64g I6 small 🙂 and when my mail refreshes, it never says "just updated". It always says something like "updated Sunday". Usually says 2 or 3 days prior to the day it actually is. But...I am getting the mail when it is sent, there is no delay. Any ideas what I need to do? I'm stumped. Thank you!
