i7 13" MBA - noisy fans?

Hi all,

Am literally about to press 'Add to Basket' on a 13" MBA with upgraded CPU to the i7 and 8Gb RAM, but I've just read that the fans are a bit too keen to spin up and are noisy when they do.

Is this true? If so, I think I'll just get the i5...

My fans are lazy to spin beyond 2k rpm at all times.

Mine rarely spin up. My old 2009 ran its fans at high speed all the time but it takes quite a heavy load to get my 2012 (specced like yours) to spin up.
