i've seen this before. pretty cool! unfortunately it only works on macbooks right now... hopefully he'll have the powerbook version out soon.

Can we choose our alarm arming sounds? I like the one in the video; I could see getting some crazy looks at the cafe when I go to get a refill :D .

Too bad I'm only on a PB at the moment, but maybe in the future, using Salling Clicker with my phone...

Thanks for the link.

Cheers.

Sorry to dig up an old post.. but this very cool alarm is now free to use, and also updated with some new features.

I'm just a little iffy about installing this onto my MBP.. Like will this program drastically effect battery life at all? Has anyone experienced any bugs or issues ?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks! :)

I used it for a little while, It didnt seem to affect my battery at all but initially you could just plug in the headphone jack and it would cut it off. I think they have fixed it. Personally im never more then 3 ft away from my mbp while in a coffee shop. I spend about 4-5 hours a day working in a coffee shop and i learned my lesson to never take my eye off my stuff. About a year ago some guy attempted to jack my laptop while i was getting a refill, Luckily an employee was close enough to stop him. I would have lost everything and i also learned the potential value of backing up lol =)

Thanks for that... well i installed the program anyway with no problems. I haven't noticed a drop in battery performance yet, but haven't used it long enough anyway. The speakers on max volume really wouldn't be very effective in a busy/noisy environment, and it wouldn't stop someone from stealing it if they really wanted to....

But all in all its a MEGA-COOL program..... everyone i've shown so far can't believe it.. Hope the developers keep up the good work... if only more developers would actually utilize the features of the new Mac's!

2 thumbs up :D
