I have Mac OSX and Ubuntu on my Mac, but I want to get rid of Ubuntu.
I know this will mean that I have to partition the disk to give OSX the entire HDD and that it will delete all data on the partitions. However, I would like to know if iBackup saves my data.
And how to get it back after I reinstall OSX

10.4 that is.

If you have Leopard, you can delete the Ubuntu partition and resize the OS X partition without damaging anything and while running off the OS X partition. It's very cool.

Otherwise, I'd clone your boot partition to another drive with Carbon Copy Cloner, do the format, then clone back.
