Hi all,
I received my new MBP a couple of days ago and I have since been trying, in vain, to install IBM lotus notes client.

I have Notes 9.0.1 which I have been using in my old MBP (with El Capitan) and I have a few fixes for it too.... unfortunately I never get that far.

I loaded Java as requested and when I go through the motions of installation and agree T&Cs, I finally click "install" and from then on it remains in "Preparing installation..." and nothing happens.

Any experience? ideas? help?

Thanks.

IBM switched to a 64-bit version of the app to support Oracle's official Java, rather than Apple's Java. I am pretty sure you need to get the updated version to run it under Sierra. That's the version that works for me.

Frankly, I am using a Windows VM just to run that bloatware. Would not want to install it on my main machine. I'd gladly not install it at all, but unfortunately some administrative stuff runs only over Notes...

I've always used Lotus notes (not by choice) without major issue. This one is proving hard to get to work. Still not sorted.
I have escalated to my IT support to ensure they can issue interim fix 5 and see if that works

I'm about to lose it now.

All java installaed.
I wiped laptop and started from scratch. I manage to log in the main screen and put my domino server but then when it does the configuration the mail window never appears.

Anybody out there that can help?
