A couple of years ago I got a new Powerbook with Panther, and wanted dictation software for it. The only thing available was IBM ViaVoice, and I acquired a copy. Immediately, however, I got a demanding job 100 miles from home, and for ages never had the chance to go through the elaborate set-up procedure. At last, last year, I found the time for this, but found that the software no longer worked at all. I suspect that it is not compatible with Leopard (which I am now running), but no patches for it seem to be available. IBM say that they sold the UK retail and support business to a firm called Nuance and cannot help. Nuance have automated telephone and email systems which cannot be accessed without a code number which I have never been given. Nuance do not publish their address, but I managed to get it from someone at IBM and wrote to them: I have had no reply. Any ideas?
