a friend drops her ibook on her adapter and bends the connection that u plug into your ibook but it still worked for a couple weeks until recently when it no longer charges the notebook.

is the adapter broke?

possibly. if the machine is still under warranty, file a repair request through apple.com support, and they should send you one quickly free of charge

Hopefully. Else, its more serious. Like the iBook's internal power converter or the logic board.

Do you know anyone with a power adapter to try?

It sure sounds like it. I'd be will ing to bet that it was broken when she dropped it, and it just broke completely after a few weeks of moving it around. If it's still under warranty, call Apple. If not, she's best off to just order a new one, unless she can find a plug tip just like it, and replace it.
