ibook and powerbook memory?

just need some advice before i fry my wifes ibook 😱 lol .

i have just been given a 512mb stick from a 12" powerbook 1.33 G4.will this fit my wifes ibook G4 1.2 ?

i have checked on crucial,the specs look the same but the part numbers are different?

Yes this will work.

The Powerbook G4 12" uses PC2700, the iBook G4 uses PC2100, but the PC2700 is compatible with PC2100 speeds. In general you can put the faster ram in the slower socket, but not reverse.
