iBook g3- is it the logic board?

My display has been quivering for a few weeks and kept going dim and once i like banged it it went back to being bright. Now this morning, i turn it on and move the laptop and the screen goes black then the display comes back on with all like colourful fuzzy lines and this keeps happening if you move the iBook too much or apply pressure to the palmrest. Is this the logic board failing on me?

short answer: yes it's the logic board

long answer: the solder joints between the gpu and logic board have cracked, this is a temporary method i used to fix the problem

Lol. love your solution. I wouldn't know where to start however. My iPad should be here on 28th so can deal without for now. May buy a MacBook in Feb when i start Uni.

it is actually quite simple, this is a good guide you only need to go as far as taking the bottom off, now see the thing with the yellow pad, that is the gpu i removed the pad bu you don't have to
