Ok basicly I have a perfectly fine working 1 GHZ ibook and a friend of mine had a 1.33 and they dropped it the screen smashed and it would'nt work in Target mode.

So I took both ibooks apart and I tried the 1.33 hardrive in the 1GHZ and it would not work, the 1 ghz wouldnt even recognize the harddrive I think the harddrive may be totally gone as well but I dont know about the rest of the parts..

I was wondering if i could take my 1 GHZ screen and put it on the 1.33 GHZ system and take my 1 GHZ hardrive and place that into 1.33 system?

    Thank you.

Yes, the screen and the hard drive from your 1ghz ibook will work on the 1.33 ibook. It will boot right up with your settings. Have you ever taken one of these ibooks apart before? If you're not familiar with the insides of these, there are lots of steps to go through and lots of different sized screws just to swap hard drives. Good luck.;)

Yes you can switch screens, good luck because you may lose your laptop too in the process.

If you have a Mini-VGA adapter and a firewire cable, hook both of the ibooks together and the VGA adapter to the 1.33 connected to an external monitor. Put your 1ghz into TD-mode and boot up the 1.33 holding down the Option key. This way you can test to make sure the 1.33 motherboard and other hardware is still working before swapping hdds and screens. Hope this helps.
