iBook g4 ac adaptor led.

Hi,
Does the little green led around the charger port on the iBook g4 only lite up if an Apple brand charger is used on it? I have a 3rd party one on my iBook and it doesnt lite, or is the led in the charger, not the computer itself?

as far as i know it is on the connector, it built around the connector. Third party chargers doesn't have it. I also happen to have both the original and the 3rd party charger.
