ibook G4 DVD/CD drive not working!!

I have a quick question for the gurus meandering this forum. Everytime I put either a DVD or a CD into my ibook, it spins around for a bit and spits it back out. I've tried numerous DVD's and CD's but it's all the same. I was wondering if there were any hints you could provide to fix this or if my only option is sending it in. Thanks.

Assuming the discs aren't scratched you could try resetting some of the firmware settings through a PMU reset. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue. 🙂
