i managed to install Mac OS 9.2 finally after trying several times for weeks
by flowing this http://mac-classic.com/articles/mac-os-9-on-unsupported-systems/
and it works except wifi of course and another thing that is annoying me and it is the resolution it is fixed to 640x480
it is showing that it is 1024X768 but it is actually 640x480 and wont change i tried several ATI 9200 drivers with nothing
so this is my spec https://everymac.com/systems/apple/ibook/specs/ibook_g4_1.0_12.html
i hope anyone could help me to fix resolution
PLS/ every thing working great except 2 things as i mentioned but trying to reset NVRAM Spoils everything and does not make Mac boot

i forgot to mention that i use SwitchRES 2 with nothing

You need the 'NDRV' and other drivers I hacked for the R9200M.

Sadly, no one has made any drivers for the AirPort Extreme card for OS 9, requires knowledge , not hacks, would have to build the wifi stack for 802.11g from the Linux or other open source drivers.

Wouldn't be too hard if we where talking OS X, but not a whole lot of skilled programers doing anything with OS 9 for the last 20 years, so don't hold your breath.

Well, by default when iBooks with the 7447a CPU boot, they boot in DFS Low mode. What that means is, the CPU is only running at half speed under OS 9, as OS 9 doesn't have any code for Power Management of the 7447a CPU.

You can set DFS High in Open Firmware before you boot OS 9, and the CPU will run at full speed, but the battery won't last as long.

I've never had any issue on my iBooks with setting DFS High under OS 9, the hysteria of the Fan Control on the iBook G4 is set at the firmware level, it's pretty much independent of the OS.

actually i am facing some issues every time i log on
like now tells me stuffit engine error but after all i am trying to enjoy the OS as it will not be for real work
but all i want to make sure is that the code i write in open frimware will not deleted ( i know i i ZAP PRAm will delete it ) but i mean if i avoid that can it deleted from any thing else like power frailer or so as i have to write in open frimware again
