Someone is going to be giving me an iBook G4 933 MHz 256MB RAM 40GB HDD with a bunch of animation programs; all for free. The only problem is that the HDD is messed up and costs $200 to fix. Is this worth taking? Also are these things pretty slow?

animation software is going to run pretty slow on that

you can probably find a hard drive for like 70 bucks online and then just install it yourself. use the ifixit.com guide and order a 2.5'' pata/ide hard drive off newegg

I probably wont be using the animation programs anyways. However I will be using Photoshop and maybe Fireworks.
