I need some help.. not exactly sure how to word the problem.. but I will do my best.

I have a G3 800 iBook with Panther.

It seems to freeze every so often on certin files.
For example.. In iTunes, when I click on 1 song (i bought from iTunes) the computer seems to freeze and the hard drive starts making sounds.. All other songs work.

The sound is always the same in rythem.
the best way to describe it is.
click.......click..... click,click,click, click
and goes for a couple minutes.

I ran the drive test on the apple care CD and everything passed..

Any ideas?

Hmm... sounds like you may be having hard drive problems. Back up all your data before it crashes and call apple up to get it fixed (granted you still have applecare).

Sounds like your gona need a new drive man sorry to say .. :( I had a simliar issue with my PC HD i would load up a file and it would just click grind crush and what ever other noise you can think of and in the end it was a huge scratch on the drive. dont go over speed humps in a car at speed with computers.. :)
