Okay I open my ibook special edition graphite 466mhz's and panther 10.3.6 installed on it. The mouse wont do anything but I can like scroll through the icons on my desktop and move the mouse around. I started from the disk and the same thing was happening the mouse wouldn't click on anything. I could move the mouse around just not click on anything. So I put it in target mode and hooked it up to my cube. I tried to fix the permissions from there nothing. Then I tried to reinstall the system again nothing it said that it couldn't unmount the disk image. I dont have a problem with erasing the drive there is nothing important on there. Please help. You girls/guy's always do
;)

Have you tried to use an external mouse and see if it is behaving the same way?
I suppose you are talking about the trackpad? It could be damaged.
