Ibook problem

once every 2 weeks or so my ibook just shuts off all by itself, and to start it back up i have to take out the battery and unplug it then put the battery back in.

anyone know whats wrong with it, or have similar experiences?

when does ths happen? when running off battery power? if so how full is it? or is it on mains power?

all i can say as them momnet is that it is not right! maybe just check that there is no fluff or rubbish on the battery connectors.

yeah the same sort of thing happend to me. less than 2 weeks of having my ibook, i tried to wake it from sleep and got no response. i called up selfridges where i got it and they talked me through taking teh battery out , putting it back in, and then it was fine. but gave me bit of panic. still dunno what the problem was. the man said that that ibook had got caught between sleep land and awake land :S
