ibook serial numbers

Hi,

I have an old ibook g3 500 and i cant find the serial number on the thing. I wana check to make sure it is not the one with the logic board re-call. Can someone please tell me where it is? 😀

If you open System Profiler (/Applications/Utilities/System Profiler.app), in the Hardware Overview it should have your serial number.

...or just open the About This Mac window from your Apple menu and click the Version number (twice, first it shows the build number)...

Just curious, but did it turn out to be one of the ones with a re-called logic board?
