iBook sleeping problems

If my iBook is on battery power while sleeping and I plug her in to the AC adaptor she wakes up. A few seconds later, though, she goes back to sleep again and then wakes up again and the cycle continues.

Is this supposed to happen? I'm pretty sure it isn't.. because I don't remember this ever happening before. What can I do to fix this? I have already tried to repair permissions and reset the PRAM and the problem still persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you calibrated the battery recently? This entails flattening it entirely and then charging it back up to 100%. I'd try this, and then reset the PMU in the meantime.

Yup, I calibrate my battery every 3-4 weeks. In fact I calibrated it just last night. I will try to reset it's PMU now. Thanks, mad jew.
