I think they are both equal until you add in the portability, and the
ibook is obviously more portable, so I think you should get the
iBook. I think it is a much better deal. You don't get very much
from a g4.

lol thats y im not getting an emac anymore 😉 lol
i never knew the 800 mhz 12.1" ibook had the new "total snow" case, i thought just the 700 mhz model did lol..

Well, the ibook is g3, emac is g4, one has a 17" screen, one has 12.1. brainpower usage here, watson!

I would get the $999 iBook because it is the best deal of the bunch
and then I would buy a bunch of RAM from 18004MEMORY.

and then I would enjoy it for the next 2 years 😉

it is so nice to be able to sit on the couch and work on your computer. if you get an airport card, that makes it all the nicer

very true... Dragging a 50 ft long ethernet cord around the house
gets to be quite annoying. I have been wondering this a while:

Is wireless (airport) broadband much slower then broadband with
wires, if slower at all?

i dont want to get an emac now (cuz there seems to be ALOT more problems than i thought b4), and i have dialup internet so i'll probably be just in a few diff rooms (mainly infront of the tv relaxing hopefully 😀 cuz im tired of sitting infront of the computer desk typing up crud lol)
i'll probably purchase an airport card after i move (if move somewheres with high speed net access)
