Now finally with iOS 9.3 and the OS X update I can start to use iBooks. I am happy as I like the look and feel of iBooks but I could never use it as it didn't allow me to sync PDFs and books that I had downloaded from the internet. Now with iCloud sync I have all of my PDFs and books synced across my iPad, mac and iPhone. Works well, haven't had any issues and I am enjoying using iBooks.

The best benefit for me is iBooks on the Mac. It is a nice place to store and organise books and PDFs for reading. Much nicer to use than a dropbox folder, I can see all of my books laid out on a bookshelf and can easily search and sort them.

Anyone else happy with the change?

Yup...I officially now. other then tones and movies (non-apple store movies that is) I technically never need to plug my device into a computer to get all my media. Pictures are in iCloud Photo Library, Music is synced with iTunes Match, and now books with iBooks. It's absoutly awesome.

(It's BS I can't redownload text/ringtones on my device without repaying for them.)

Question for those iBooks users who have 9.3 installed: Does the screen still go black with white print at night or does the new iOS night-time lighting mode kick in and adjust the backlight color with black print?

Auto night mode works the same as usual

You need to open and import them in iBooks. They won't appear in iBooks if the epubs are only in your iCloud Drive.

Are everyones' bookmarks syncing between devices? I've noticed that Mine have not been since the 9.3 upgrade. No matter which device I set a bookmark -- Mac, iPad, or iPod Touch -- it does not show on the other devices.

Is anyone else seeing this?

THANKS!

A.

iBooks on 9.3 is a hot mess for me. On every device, iPads, iPhone, ALL of my ebooks show up as needing an update. I click on them, and they don't update, then sometimes they do, but more often not. Over and over again, on ALL my iDevices, iBooks is NOT working right.

Sorting is borked again, they also don't sort properly either, but maybe its that I never noticed before.

iBooks isn't working for my any more. Syncing is failing completely. All books are showing up on all three devices, but read position isn't. All three devices are at a different read position. Bookmarks aren't syncing either. I'm back to sleep using Marvin. I hope  fixes this soon.

Not sure I'm using iCloud sync correctly, and Apple's support docs are unclear. A few questions/issues:

1. It seems like some people had success by adding books to their iCloud folder, then opening in iBooks. Does this mean I should delete all books from iTunes and devices first, then re-add them through iCloud?

2. After turning on iCloud Sync for iBooks, should one disable syncing through iTunes?

3. iCloud Sync doesn't seem to sync any bookmarks or notes between devices, despite having selected the option under iBooks settings on each device.

Thanks for any help!
