I plan on pre ordering my iPhone 4 and having it delivered to me on launch day. I also plan on buying an iPad later this summer. If I buy an ebook on my iphone, will the free copy still be available for me to download that same book on my iPad later that summer?

Yes. Not only that, but wherever you stop reading on one device, you will be able to automatically pick up from that exact place on your other device. They work seamlessly. No double puchases.

You're right, as long as both devices have a connection to the internet (either through wifi or 3G), it will keep your place.

One quick question that I don't think deserves a separate thread: Will the only way to add PDF's into iBooks be through iTunes file transfer?

I hope Random House adds it's collection to iBooks soon.

I want The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown! Also The Lost Symbol.
