I have the latest version of iBooks on my Mac, iPad and iPhone. I also have many iBooks that were not purchased from the iTunes store. Is it possible to sync these books across all my devices using iCloud? If so, how do I do this? Basically when I add a book to iBooks on my Mac, I want it to automatically show up on my iPad and my iPhone. This happens automatically for iTunes purchases, but I'm wondering if there is any way to do this for books that are not purchased from iTunes.

Thanks very much in advance to anybody who can answer this question for me. Cheers!

I've asked this question before and the answer has always been "no". The only ways I'm aware of to get books to your iDevice is either a) sync with iTunes or b) email yourself the book then save the attachment to iBooks on your iDevice. Note that using option b loses the book's genre for some reason, which is one of the ways I like to keep things organized.

If anyone has figured out a better way to do this under iBooks I'd be interested.

aragornii is pretty much correct, only itunes syncing or manually managing by emailing books to yourself. I hope Apple integrates ibooks into icloud fully in the future. But I doubt it, they want you to buy books from their ibookstore so they aren't going to make it easy for you to manage outside books. :(

I have this issue in reverse. I purchased Books on my iPhone direct from the publishers website. They open fine on ibooks on my iPhone however I would like them on the new ibooks with maverick. I can't see the option email them on the phone or if there is i don't know how to do it? Any hints?
