Hello everyone, it's time for me to backup some files and so on but I'm having trouble making my iCal backup everything from October of 2004 until present.
I have tried to drag and drop the iCal folder but it only saves the last two or three months. I could just print everything but it seems to be a waste of paper.
Could someone be kind and tell me what I've missed and how if it can be done to back everything up so I can put it on a CD.
Thanks for any help to all :)

easiest way to back up your iCal files is to open iCal and export the calendars individually, you can always re-import them from there

If you have Tiger, "Back up database" from the File menu is much quicker and easier. It'll save everything as a .icbu file from memory and you just have to then "Revert to back up" when you need it. It's the same in Address Book for Panther and Tiger too. :)

Or you can get .mac and publish your calendar. Then you could retrieve it from any computer that has internet access (including windows). Plus it automatically updates if you change anything.

Same goes for address book and keychain.

I did all of the above recently.
I use .Mac and publish my calendars...
I use Backup app... to an external HDD
and I recently did an export of each individual calendar just to make sure... (prior to Tiger upgrade).

Now I only weekly do the .Mac thing / use backup to iDisk weekly and external HDD (fortnightly or monthly).
