When my iCal program is not open, the icon continuously says that it is July 17th, the date I first got my Mac. When it opens though, it changes to the correct date. Can it be at the correct date without me opening the program every time i start my mac?

As far as I know, you can't change it unless it has been opened. July 17 was the day iCal was announced by the way...

Yeah, the 17th is just the icon for iCal.

I recall reading somewhere though that you can download something that will change the icon. But I remember that you have to open it every day.

Quite the fluke.

I thought that was just what the icon looked like. I didn't even realize that it displays the correct date when the calendar is opened. I think that's pretty cool.
