iCal doesn't like dates with a 9 in them

Having a bit of trouble with iCal,

trying to set up a reminder for the 9th, 19th and 29th of each month, however when i access the info boxes for those dates and try to select the dates in the from and to areas, any dates with a 9 in them are not there, example being that when i scroll through the the dates they go 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10 and so on

Anyone got any ideas why this happens and how to fix it?

iCal is really a buggy program, but you could use a recurring event for days 9,19,29 evey month.

I don't care for reminders, gave up on them after previous headaches.
