ICAL - format of ics file

I have an ics file that I'm importing to ical.
However, I'd like to modify it to make each event repeat yearly.

I tried adding: RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;INTERVAL=1

That didn't help.

Suggestions?

Well, the format specification is here:
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2445.txt
You can search through it for the word "Recurrence." It occurs more than 100 times; it would take you probably a week to really understand it. 😉

I've hacked a few ICSs, and I'd think that that line would work. You did add it to every VEVENT in the calendar, right?

I only have one event in the file at the moment, while I'm testing it out.
