iCal icon displaying month as number

...and I'd like to change that to the "standard" way of having the month as a word. I know it has something to do with region formats (System Preferences -> International -> Formats) because it works well if I change the format to US. I'm however using Czech Republic. Is there something I can do to make the iCal icon display month as text? Thanks.
