ical info disappeared! calendar is blank! what shld i do?

ical on my imac is blank--no entries. i am afraid to sync my itouch with it in case i wld lose the info on my itouch.

i closed and restarted the imac and still the calendar is w/o any info.

what happened? what shld i do?

Restore your iCal folder from your backup first.

I think your Touch may ask you if you want delete all the entries in the calendar and you can just say no.
