iCal question - multiple users writing to one calendar...

Hi, I have a question regarding iCal... is it possible to have multiple users (on different computers, all have writing capabilities to one calendar. I'm at work and we use iCal for our rentals scheduling and need to be able to have more than one person update the calendar, is this possible and how? thanks so much!
 
If you don't want to install OS X Server, you might be able to come up with a workaround by using Google Calendar and syncing that with iCal.
