OK, somehow my iCal calendars got corrupted and I could no longer add events or delete calendars. So I decided to reinstall iCal from the OS X DVD. Now when I try to start iCal I get the following error:

The file could not be saved because you do not have appropriate access privileges.

I've checked the permissions and it seem that I have 'custom access' to the iCal program and the various packages inside. I tried changing them to 'read and write' but I still get the same error. I've also tried 'repair permissions' from the disk utility app. Same result, same error. Any ideas? 😕
