iCal reminder off screen!!?

I can not fix this problem! Whenever iCal is giving me a reminder, it gives me the message and plays the sound, but the reminder ALWAYS shows up halfway off the screen!! I can not fix this! Any tips?😕

Just as a wild guess, it might be a corrupted preferences file. Does the behavior occur in a new user account as well?

Have yet to be able to figure it out. I also notice it here and there when bringing up adjustments window in iPhoto.
