iCant open a zip file with images!

Cannot seem to open images sent by zip file - i have tried 'Suffit' & 'Simply Rar'
- I get terminal folder - when i drag or give options a folder pops up and disappers . . . Why is it so hard to figuring this one out? - a simple zip file. . .

I'm confused. What happens when you double click on the .zip file?
