All of the Nickelodeon shows that have PCs in them use Macs. Drake & Josh, NDSSG, iCarly, and the new shows that are probably terrible all have them.

Just a note here regarding Dan Schneider. I discovered last week that one of his jobs before acting (he was a cast regular in "Head of the Class" in the 80-90s) was as a repair technician at an Apple service/repair store.

I'm guessing that's where his interest/love for Macs comes from.

Also, something else to note (no screen caps), both Seinfeld and Frasier also has Classic Macs in the background of some of their scenes.

Someone mentioned something about watching for Macs in movies, and I caught some. In the 1st National Treasure, there are no Macs, but Mac OSs. On two HP computers in the Movie, Mac OS 10.1 or 10.2 is running. This is impossible, since they are i386 and Puma and Jaguar required PPC!
I would post a screenshot, but for some reason Leopard won't let me until I quit DVD player, probably for copyright reasons.

Yeah, what happens in cases like that is that the actors do the scene and later on the special effects get added. In this case it was whatever was intended to be on the screen. Since the Mac is dominant in the arts industries and no one is caring about the details you end up with OS X on a PC!

Filming a computer screen directly isn't very nice. You see all the pixels. Hence they do a lot of green screen instead. But it works a lot better when you have to film a lot of hands on. They can put a lot of focus on making the details on the screen those few seconds more prominent right there and then without having to shoehorn stuff afterwards or even redoing takes.

That's interesting that he used to repair Macs.

I can't believe I some how missed seeing Macs will have to look next time I watched these shows. :D

Apple is very prominent in The Simpsons, but for copyright reasons and parody reasons, it has been renamed Mapple and the Apple has 2 bites. Steve Jobs is also parodied. Most Mapple products are named similarly to Apple, but instead of using an i they use a my i.e. myPad, myPhone, myMac, etc. The only case they used a real Apple name was a Lisa.

In icarly there is also a scene where this one guy buys a "pearpod" for someone. When he tells the kids about the pear pod, they ask where bought the music from, he answers that he downloaded because the pearpod store was too expensive. A short while later into the episode the FBI comes in and arrests him for downloading. The kids told the police about him downloading the music.....

oh and another movie were macs are prominently presented is "meet the fockers". In the scene where Jack Byrnes is showing the baby Greg and in the background of his little studio there are 4 iMac g4s surrounding him with an isight camera on.

here the link to the video (sorry I couldn't find a better one)

If anyone here has watched the Goodwife, you will know that that show is littered with Macs. They all look like newer MacBook Pros except one that was an early MBP/PBG4 model. It also looks like the daughter uses an iMac and the son (who is later refered to as a geek) uses a Mac Pro.

Interestingly enough, they cover up the Apple logo on the back (and in the case of the iMac, front) on the computer but when the zoom in on the screen, you will sometimes notice the familiar Apple menu in the top left (with an Apple logo) and the Finder in the bottom left of the dock. Although in a later episode (season 3), Alicia (the mother) has her son send files to her work computer from her home computer (both unibody MBPs) which we later find out crashed the computer the p*ssed off IT. But when you look closely, its a BSOD and not a KP or other Mac error. When the son fixes it, it again shows the familiar Snow Leopard era Macintosh desktop.

Should also point out that one of the Exec Producers is Ridely Scott. Most older Mac users and/or collectors will know the name as he directed the very famous "1984" commercial for Apple.
