iChat keeps going crazy when I open it...

Everytime I open iChat it starts signing on and off repeatedly until AIM kicks me off for too much activity in a short period of time. I didn't change any of the settings (i think), so I'm not sure what to do. I thought of downloading another IM program, but I like iChat and would like to see if i could fix it first. Can anybody help? Thanks 😀

Definitely have been having the same problem. Try going into iChat preferences>accounts>server settings and changing your port to 443. You must do this while logged out. Also, try deleting com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist in Users/(your account)/Library/Preferences and restarting iChat. That worked for me. All this info was lifted from this apple support thread.
