I just noticed this - not sure what forum it belongs in - watching the new episode of Law & Order Criminal Intent on USA (Episode: Legacy, 9:00 Eastern Sunday 8/3/08)

Right at the beginning is an iChat Window with the Mac look and sounds, but then they zoom out and you see it's running XP (you see the start button) and it's definitely not a Mac (well unless it's a headless mac, mac pro or something) the keyboard is non apple and the screen is non apple

Any thoughts - possibly the psystar mac clone or open computer - but that would run all of leopard, not virtualization - any thoughts?

It could be pidgin IM client with a skin, or just about anything with a skin. I happen to be watching Law & Order right now, an older one, and they are in a "private" chat on "IM", its very similar to an micq screen they are looking at.

I guess what I am saying is its rare they actually use a functional computer when they show the screen. Its usually a "movie" of the mouse moving, with things popping up, and the keyboard is just "banged on" to make it look real.
The "movie" is whatever they want the cool application to look like.

I doubt you'll find Mac Rumors watching Law and Order.
