iChat Screen Sharing not Working

Hi all,

I did a search and was unable to come up with anything that matched the problem I am having. My friend in I both have 10.7.4 and have been able to screen share in the past. I can see his screen but when I share my screen he only sees a white screen. Nothing has changed. My bandwidth is 20 download and 5 upload. Any ideas? Should I do a reinstall?

Same problem, except trying to observe Lion from Mountain Lion

When I was on Lion, and had Messages Beta installed on my MBP, I was still able to use the screen sharing component to both observe and be observed by my parents iMac with Lion. I have now upgraded to Mountain Lion and they are still on Lion. Not sure if this is causing the problem...maybe a permission thing? Anyone?
