It's been about 3 months since I used a mac. I just bought a new Blackbook (which I LOVE!!!). I remember on my last mac with Tiger I was able to customize what was announced when one of my buddies signed on.

In leopard I figured out how to announce the specific buddy name when the buddy becomes available, however is there a way to customize what is spoken? I don't necessarily want the buddy name announced, but rather the persons real name.
 
I just tried it on my computer, i also have leopard, and if the person's name is in the address book, then for me it read there full name instead of there handle(screen name). So if you have not done so all ready add there name to your address book and you should have no problem.
