iChat Video Feature NOT Working

Okay this has been a problem that i've had with iChat since day one. Anytime that i am chatting with anyone (whether they're using AIM or iChat) i can not hold a video chat with them. This is what error I get. They send me an invitation to start video conference, i click accept, iChat says it is connecting then it says something about a "Communication Error" and that I am not responding. Has anyone ever had this problem or can anyone help me? Is there a way to re-install iChat?

Make sure your router isn't blocking the ports required by iChat. see article "Using iChat AV with a firewall or NAT router"

is there a free software that allows you to bring these cool effects into iChat? like with leopard... anything like that for tiger?

Is there a thread somewhere where people from Macrumors post their iChat IDs to mess around with iChat video?
I would definitely like that right now
