iChat wont Load

OK so i click on the iChat icon and it bounces and than stops and the Buddy list pops up but wont drop it just says connecting. Can Any One Help?

Something is wrong with your connection settings. Make sure you have all information entered correctly and that your Internet connection works.

If you cannot get to Preferences, try disconnecting from t'interweb and that should allow you to access the Preferences options, so you can check your settings.

If you're using an AIM screen name it could be AOL lagging as well. I've had that happen before and had to wait a short while till it came back.
