am i missing something, or is the only current way to sync documents to iCloud through the icloud web interface? if i create a document on my mac, and i want to sync it to my iphone or ipad, do i have to manually upload it to icloud? then, if i make changes to the document on my iphone, do i have to manually download the document from icloud on the web to my mac?

maybe i misunderstood the tagline "iCloud automatically keeps your documents up to date across all your devices. So you don’t have to." i was under the impression that "all your devices" included my mac. but, apparently, it doesn't without intervention on my part. i now see at the bottom that i need to sync the document manually with icloud from my mac if i want it on my iphone.

Eventually, that's not supposed to be necessary, but there's been no announcement yet about when that will change. We've been expecting it since the week after the iCloud announcement pretty much.
